Summary: The scope of work for this project included a new 43,249 SF expansion to the existing conference facility. Construction elements consisted of a CMU masonry addition, exhibition halls with additional meeting rooms, pre-function area, food preparation and service area, additional service areas and a mezzanine level for additional storage, state of the art audio visual system’s and electrical rooms. This building was winner of the Intermountain Contractor Best of 2008 Awards—Merit Award.

Summary:
This new library facility was designed and constructed to meet the LEED green building accreditation requirements—one of the few buildings at the time of construction that met the criteria for energy efficient, environmentally-friendly designed buildings. The new facility includes conference rooms, auditorium, computer and study areas.

Summary: This Project involved the new construction of a 2-story, 3-bay, 10,440 SF Fire Station. The Station includes a fire pole from the second to first story, a workout room with a rubberized floor, dorm areas, large break room, outdoor deck and a kitchen area. The entrance to the facility includes a wood door surrounded by hand-stained glass and a stamped concrete floor. The exterior of the facility is fully landscaped surrounded by natural rock retaining walls and a full concrete parking bay entrance.

Summary: This project consisted of a new 12,700 SF police station. The facility includes conference rooms and offices, break rooms, and a workout room for police officers. Secure areas include a sally port, holding cells, evidence rooms, and secure evidence storage. Construction elements include CMU construction, metal wall panels, arched roof and a round entryway. The exterior design elements use steel beaming and stone veneer.

Summary: Ascent was the General Contractor for the construction of the 9,761 SF CMU, 3-bay Fire Station with a Varco-Pruden®, pre-engineered apparatus bay. The exterior includes outdoor and parking area lighting, a metal seamed roof and aluminum storefront windows in the 2-story entrance mezzanine. The Fire Station has a kitchen, break room, six-dorms, and workout area with tile, concrete and carpet floors.

Summary: This new 2-bay, 10,050 SF Fire Station serves the Draper and South Mountain area. The exterior is hardy-plank siding with stone veneer and asphalt shingles accented with wood architectural timbers. The interior of the facility contains cement, carpet and tile flooring. There are six dorm areas, a kitchen, break room and common area.

Summary: This new library for the City of Centerville and Davis County Library was completed in February 2006. The new 10,000 SF facility includes beautiful stained glass windows, conference rooms, state-of-the-art auditorium, computer and study areas. One of the highlights of the building is the unique children's reading area. The building received two awards in 2006 including the Utah Masonry Council Excellence in Design Citation Award and Intermountain Contractor Best of 2006—Best Masonry Building Award.

Summary: This project was truly a unique opportunity for Ascent. The Browning Home was originally built in 1874 using handmade nails and local brick. The cedar clad farmhouse was first located at #4 Old Post Road next to Birch Creek and has since been moved to Fort Buenaventura to serve as an educational focal point. The remodel of this project included structural stabilization, full exterior poplar clad reproduction, fire resistant cedar shake roofing, recreation of custom doors and millwork, lath and plaster, paint and staining, floor repair and resurfacing and upgrading the building with electrical service and lighting. The completed project matches historical period building standards.

Summary: This new 16,000 SF building is designed to function independently in an emergency situation. Water, air and sewer bunkers were installed to enable the center to be self-contained for up to 10 days. State-of-the art-communication lines and communication towers were installed as well as a partial store front exterior. The facility includes administrative offices and an emergency dispatch center.

Summary: Ascent was the general contractor for the construction of the new 15,000 SF Carbon County Search and Rescue Sheriff Intake Building, the project consisted of a Varco-Pruden®, pre-engineered metal building for offices, training areas, restrooms, secure holding rooms, 14 storage bays with overhead access doors and elevated security systems. The facility also included concrete slab on grade, with an unfinished space that will eventually be developed as a locker/change area.

Summary: This building was designed and constructed for the State of Utah and was completed on a fast-track schedule to be opened for the 2003 State Fair. The project included new electrical upgrades, entry way exterior modifications and interior updates. The Project was completed within the allotted budget and ahead of schedule.

This facility serves the city of West Wendover with municipal offices, court system, police station, public utilities management and city management systems and offices.
